AGM, AGM, and more AGMs...... It's the same for my societies and clubs i.e. Tennis Club, Science and Maths Society and String Ensemble. Yes, we often complain and grumble and groan and grunt for all the duties assigned to us as the main committee members of the clubs and societies x-p But, i gotta admit that there's a feeling of nostalgia, a sense of losing, after we officially handed our posts to our juniors... *weep* :'(
As the President of Tennis Club, I had to book courts, courts and more courts -.- Supposedly, it was actually the Secretary's job. However, the President has to take over that duty due to some unforeseen, unfortunate and unpredictable circumstances (the committee members should know why). Being an impatient girl, I've always grumbled to my mum about the government servants' attitude at the booking counter in USM. I was relieved that i need not book anymore courts for the school club for the rest of the year.However, i was overwhelmed with emotions when it was announced that Lien Tee is the Presidentof Tennis Club 07/08. I've missed the moments when the school team fought with their best in MSSPP Tennis 2008...... A great pleasure it was to work with y'all, and not forgetting my partner for double - Chee Lee a.k.a. the chilli bully =)
~CGL Tennis Teams during MSSPP 2008~Always burdened with lotsa paperwork, now I only have to watch my Asst Secretary burying her head into the documents of Science and Maths Society. She was a great assistant, helping me always, doing her duty as the assistant. I can hardly put my gratitude in words for having such a responsible and dedicated assistant - Sheema. Thank you so much for your assistance!!
Last but not least...... "Patsy, don't forget to brig RM12 tomorrow ya?" "Hui Qing, have you paid up your subs?" "Must bring the money tomorrow ya" Do i have to elaborate what post i was holding?? Yes, i was the Secretary of the small but always warm with love for friends and music String Ensemble :) Ooops, no, i mean...Treasurer a.k.a. Tax Collector. (Not gonna fight for the post with you, Patsy) :D Since the AGM last Fri 08-08-08 12:45p.m. @ 5 Arif, CGL, Jalan Masjid Negeri, Penang, i can now hand my Accounts Book to Wei Fernn. ~~WHEEEEEEE!!~~
Besides having great memories as the President, Secretary and Treasure, reminiscing sweet but superb achievements of the yesterdays really made me nostalgic. If i had great undertanding in Physics and Maths in future, i'd invent a Time Machine, not only to venture to the future, but also to teleport to the past, especially this year e.g. August 18, 2007; March 3-6, April 1-4, June 21, August 8, August 9, 2008.
